Voters in the Elsmere Fire District - permissive referendum regarding a sale or disposal of a heavy duty vehicle

A permissive referendum is a mechanism by which an action by the governing authority can be stopped with proper petition signatures submitted by at least 20 per cent of the district’s residents within a thirty day period from publication of the legal notice.

NOTICE OF PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
TO QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE ELSMERE FIRE DISTRICT

TAKE NOTICE that on October 10, 2017 the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Elsmere Fire District, in the Town of Bethlehem, Albany County, New York passed Resolution #2017-004
Authorizing the Sale of a Motor Vehicle, subject to a permissive referendum. The said resolution authorizes sale or disposal of one surplus 1999 Pierce Saber Series 40-8.7L, VIN# 4P1CT02U4XA001233 heavy duty rescue with an estimated value not greater than $99,999.00. Proceeds of such sale shall be deposited into the Elsmere Fire District general fund. This notice is published in accordance with Article 2
Section 6-g of the General Municipal Laws of the State of New York.
