Lifeguard Training Course for ages 15 and up

Schedule breakdown to be handled out at the first class. Bring a bathing suit, towel and change of clothes.

Certification received after completion of course. No refunds. Must attend all classes to pass course. There are pre-requisites for this class.
Lifeguard Training Course

Ages 15 & up
Middle School Pool and Classroom & Elm Avenue Park Office (1/15 only)
Monday and Tuesday (9 classes)
Instructor: Piera McGaughan

PRE-REQUISITES:
  • Swim 300 yards using front crawl and breaststroke.
  • Tread water 2 minutes using only legs.
  • Complete a timed event swim within 1 minutes, 40 seconds.
  • Surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10 pound object.
  • Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
