Voters in the Elsmere Fire District - Permissive referendum regarding $50,000 for Building Alterations

A permissive referendum is a mechanism by which an action by the governing authority can be stopped with proper petition signatures submitted by at least 20 percent of the district’s residents within a thirty day period from publication of the legal notice.
NOTICE OF PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
of the
ELSMERE FIRE DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Elsmere Fire District held on October 16, 2018 the Board duly adopted the following Resolution, summarized below, subject to permissive referendum:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
That pursuant to Section 6-g of the General Municipal Law, the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Elsmere Fire District does hereby approve the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $50,000.00 from the Capital Reserve Fund for Building Alterations for the purpose of development of and improvements to Fire District property; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution is subject to a permissive referendum.
