Recycle Right! Ending Recycling Confusion and Contamination
- All ages welcome! (Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult)
- Elm Avenue Park Conference room and outside weather permitting
- Tuesday (choose afternoon or evening)
- Instructor: Dan Lilkas-Rain
We all want to do our part by recycling as much as possible, but how to “recycle right” can be confusing, especially with recent contamination issues and changes in recycling market conditions. What exactly should you recycle, and what should be left out of the bin? How to recycle different items, including “hard to recycle” materials? What is “wish-cycling” and how to avoid it? What’s up with plastics? Bethlehem’s Recycling Coordinator, Dan Lilkas-Rain, will answer these questions and any you bring, and show examples of what can be recycled and how. He’ll also give you a visual tour of our area’s recycling processing facility, and explain how it all works. Must pre-register with the Park Office, 518-439-4955 Ext. 2131.
