The New York State Department of Transportation will be conducting rehabilitation of the State Route 140 (Cherry Avenue Extension) bridge, over the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail, just north of the intersection of Kenwood Avenue. This essential construction rehabilitation project will require one lane road closures in both directions on the bridge. These road closures will not occur during morning and afternoon peak travel times. There will be no night work associated with this project.
It should be noted that at various points during this construction the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail will need to be closed underneath the bridge. Currently, NYS DOT expects that all construction on the bridge will take place during the 2020 construction season. No exact completion date has been provided at this time.
