Senior Civil Engineer Wanted, respond by April 7


The Town of Bethlehem Department of Public Works is seeking candidates for a Senior Civil Engineer.  Primary duties include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • Management of Town Stormwater Program
  • Reviews plans for design and subdivision storm drainage system, streets alignment, water distribution system, sanitary sewer collection system of foundation drainage system
  • Estimates and consults with developers design engineers on the close of completing construction bonds
  • Designs storm drainage systems for highways
  • Designs highways and reconstructs existing highways and other public works projects such as parking lots, sidewalks, landfills, gravel banks, etc.
  • Makes field inspection and writes permits for the installation of gas mains, buried telephone power, cable T.V. lines and utility poles
  • Investigates and makes recommendations concerning grading permits
  • Compiles and maintains maps from field work, deed plotting and specifications and documents
  • Provides information to various other Town departments, as well as the general public, upon request

Minimum Experience Required for Senior Engineer:

A Professional Engineering License and four (4) years post Professional Engineering License experience in Engineering.
