There are a variety of parks located in Bethlehem, from our largest park on Elm Avenue to our Moh-He-Con-Nuck Nature Preserve, each offering an array of recreational opportunities. Whatever you’re into, whether it’s tennis, pickleball, basketball, or walking in nature — or if you’re looking for a really great playground — there’s a Town of Bethlehem Park for you!
Everyone is welcome to use our parks, Town of Bethlehem residents and non-residents alike. Parks are open daily and close at dusk, except where noted. Please observe the rules and hours for each facility. (Town of Bethlehem residency is required to use the Elm Avenue Park Pool and to rent facilities/pavilions for private functions.)
For any questions related to the use of our parks, or what the Parks and Recreation Department has to offer, you can call the Park Office at 518-439-4955, option 7.
Dogs in Parks
Town Code now allows licensed, leashed dogs in all Town Parks, with restrictions and enforcement measures. Please help us keep our parks safe and clean for all users, by following these directions:
- Read the Dogs in Bethlehem Town Parks brochure for our rules and other reminders
- License Your Dog - Get your dog licensed every year at the Town Clerk's Office
- Leash Up - Keep your dog on a leash unless in the designated Dog Park
- Stay Off the Fields - Playing fields are for sports, not for dog runs!
- Scoop the Poop - No one wants to step in a surprise. Be responsible and clean up after your pet!
Facility Rentals
Residents of the Town Bethlehem and Town of Bethlehem based organizations may reserve pavilions at Elm Avenue Park, Henry Hudson Park, South Bethlehem Park, and Maple Ridge Park for recreational functions. Go to Parks Facilities and Reservations for further information and reservation forms.
