Biography

Ms. Fitzsimons has been a Delmar resident since 2010, having moved to the Capital Region from Washington, D.C. in 2009.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.  Her legal experience includes serving for over 14 years as a law clerk/court attorney in the State court system and for approximately one year as Hearings Counsel in the Office of Hearings and Mediation Services at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.  Her legal experience also includes service as a staff attorney at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, GA and at the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in Washington, D.C.  Ms. Fitzsimons has also served two 5-year terms a member of the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department’s Committee on Character and Fitness.
