Albany County Rabies Immunization Clinic - Village of Colonie Municipal Garage, Saturday 9/25 MUST REGISTER by 9/17

Due to COVID-19, you must register (see below for link). No walk-ins allowed. Registration for this clinic closes Friday, September 17, 2021.

All rabies vaccination clinics are open to any Albany County resident. All animals MUST BE on leashes or in carriers. Rabies shots are required for all cats, dogs, and domestic ferrets by four months of age, and owners can be fined up to $200 if they fail to get their pets vaccinated and keep them up-to-date.

IN NYS, ALL DOGS, CATS AND FERRETS ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE VACCINATED AGAINST RABIES

No walk-ins allowed.  Registration for this clinic closes Friday, September 17, 2021.

ALL DOGS, CATS AND FERRETS MUST BE ON LEASHES OR IN CARRIERS.  Cats and ferrets - 1:00 - 2:30; dogs 2:30 - 4:00

A record of prior vaccination will be required for a three-year immunization certification.  If no record is presented, a one-year vaccination certificate will be issued.

All clinics are open to Albany County residents.

Animals MUST be at least 3 months old to receive vaccination.

Do not bring your animal if they are ill.

Donation: $8.00 per animal.

Rabies vaccination clinics for dogs, cats and ferrets have been arranged by the Albany County Department of Health in cooperation with the Companion Animal Medical Center.

  • You must register for a clinic. Walk-ins will not be allowed. 
  • Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment
  • Please remember that face coverings and social distancing are mandatory. (You will be asked to leave if your face covering is not worn properly over your nose and mouth, or if you don't follow distancing requirements.)
  • Please do not come to the clinic if you are experiencing COVID symptoms
