The Parks and Recreation Department, Bethlehem Public Library, Friends of Bethlehem Public Library and Friends of Bethlehem Parks and Recreation are teaming up to bring back our popular “Thursdays in the Park” event series! All shows begin at 6:00 pm on the special events lawn (adjacent to the pool entrance) at Elm Avenue Park, unless alternate park location is noted. Please be advised ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PROHIBITED. In case of inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule the events. Please check our Facebook and Instagram pages for event cancellation notices.
June 15- The Puppet PeopleJoin the Puppet People for the story of "The Elephant Child"! A hilarious contemporary adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic tale of how elephants got their long noses. Delightfully explore adult/child relationships, boundary testing and optimism with the elephant child on his quest to satisfy his insatiable curiosity!

June 29 - The GB-Five BandTHIS SHOW IS AT SOUTH BETHLEHEM PARK!Classic soul, blues and rock. Featuring music from Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Van Morrison and the Zombies.
July 6 - One Heart BandOne Heart Band is a good vibes rock and reggae band that plays covers by The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, the Stones and more! Family fun for all ages; dancing and hooping encouraged.
July 13 - Ron Cain the MagicianMagician Ron Cain’s “Magic of Kindness” show highlights the New York State summer reading program theme, “All Together Now — Kindness/Friendship/ Unity!” Young people help him perform tricks inspired by characters in classic children’s stories like “Harry Potter,” “Peter Pan” and “The Wizard of Oz.”
July 20 - The Zucchini BrothersJoin the Zucchini Brothers as they play music for kids of all ages. There's something for everyone at a "Zucchini" concert!
July 27 - David Engel presents “Pirate School: Swashbuckle Together!Arrrr it’s a riotous good time on the seven seas! Bring all your matey’s to enjoy the fun!”
August 3 - High School Cabaret NightIn partnership with Mr. Dashew from BCHS, we invite high school students who live in the Town of Bethlehem or Bethlehem Central School District to take the stage and perform their musical talents at the first-ever High School Cabaret Night! Each performer (or group) will have a 5-6 minute performance time slot. See page 13 of the Summer Playbook to register!
August 10 - Andy the Music ManTHIS SHOW IS AT HENRY HUDSON PARK!Delmar resident Andy “The Music Man” Morse is a children’s musician renowned for the special way he connects with his audiences. A rhythmic guitarist, mandolin player and songwriter, Andy mingles traditional and original songs and novelty, delighting and involving kids through sing-a-longs, dancing, play-acting and storytelling.
August 17 - Concert by Red Dirt HighwayRed Dirt Highway is a classic country, folk and bluegrass group that also plays outside the genres with some unexpected 60s and 70s tunes. The group has had a number of incarnations over the years and features the original songs of Laura Collins. Think Emmylou Harris and Patty Loveless combined with Joni Mitchell, Guy Clark and a touch of Steve Earl. Come on out and enjoy an evening of fun music with Red Dirt Highway!
