Equinox Thanksgiving Dinner (in person, take out, no deliveries) and other alternatives
Thursday, November 23, 2023
Equinox will be hosting a sit-down dinner and take-out meals in Albany on Thanksgiving; they will not be providing delivered meals this year. If you receive meals from LifePath (Meals on Wheels) they will provide either a frozen or hot turkey meal the day before Thanksgiving. Read on to see some alternatives.
Equinox has reviewed their program for 2023 and will be returning to it’s beginnings-partnering with the Presbyterian Church in Albany and a local caterer to host a sit-down dinner and take-out meals for approximately 1,000 people. They will not be providing delivered meals this year. Specific details about the sit-down dinner are still being organized. Volunteers needed.
Looking forward, Equinox is interested in focusing on opportunities to collaborate with community partners to become part of the food scarcity and insecurity solution year round, instead of one day a year. This aligns with their mission and other services offered 365 days a year.
For more information on the dinner or other services provided, please visit the Equinox web site at https://www.equinoxinc.org/.
