The Town of Bethlehem, NY-Department of Public Works is seeking candidates to work as a Utility Service Helper, or a Water and Sewer Maintenance Person, in our Field Operations Division. The title for this position will be determined by experience of the candidate. Primary duties include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
Minimum experience for the Water and Sewer Maintenance Person is: two (2) years of experience in installation, maintenance and operation of water distribution systems. Prior to completion of the probation period, incumbent must possess a commercial driver license, Class B, with air brake and tanker endorsement, and maintain this license during employment.
Requirements for both titles include a valid NYS driver’s license and the ability to wear a respirator and pass a respiratory clearance annually. Must be available for weekend and night emergency responses.
