Request for Interest in Serving on the Bethlehem Industrial Development Agency (IDA)
The Bethlehem Town Board will be considering candidates for appointment to the Bethlehem Industrial Development Agency (BIDA) board. BIDA is an independent agency authorized under state law, and its board members serve without compensation and at the pleasure of the Town Board.
Candidates must be Town residents and should have or develop general knowledge of Bethlehem’s development patterns and economic development goals. General qualifications would include an understanding of the legal, ethical, and fiduciary responsibilities of membership on the agency, personal and professional integrity, good independent business judgement, demonstrated commitment to the community, and relevant experience and skills which will enable the agency to carry out its mission of enhancing economic development. To be considered for appointment, a candidate will need a signed conflict of interest letter from their employer.
